Tab Women treated to Hollywood Show

Once again, the annual Mother & Daughter Luncheon, held on Saturday, May 8th, did not disappoint as the women of the TAB were treated to an afternoon of good food, fine fellowship and first-rate entertainment under the theme of “Hooray for Hollywood”.
The event began with a courtyard reception decorated with cut-outs of famous movie stars and popcorn.
The Luncheon took place in the transformed fellowship hall complete with stage and screen. Following a welcome and prayer by Major Keilah Toy and a delicious lunch, the show began!
Many of the TAB’s most talented gave their all and performed songs from some of Hollywood’s most famous movies.
Some highlights included Victoria Foley getting the audience to sing along to “Que Sera Sera” and Aleen Bradley as Marilyn Monroe singing “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend”.
TCC member Madison Stirrett performed a beautiful rendition of the classic “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”. And in his first solo ever, Brian Burbank did a fantastic job performing “Through Heaven’s Eyes” from the movie “The Prince of Egypt.”
The afternoon would not have been complete without the naming of the Woman of the Year. This year’s honor went to Barbara Allen.
Talented, organized, creative and kind, Barbara is not only a mother to her own two boys, James and Jordan, but a mother to many as the leader of Tabernacle Youth Chorus, Tabernacle Children’s Chorus and Mini Maestros.

We invite you to join us for Palm Sunday at the Tab March 28, 2010. Our special musical guest will be the International Staff Band from London England.
Not only will we have an extremely rich time of musical worship but we will also have a unique time of worship as members of the corps lay their personal crosses at the Holiness table. Each cross has been decorated by families with the meaning of the cross for them. Join us and see what God has done for each of our family members.
Our Sunday morning worship service will begin at 10:15 am Pacific Daylight Time. A webcast of this meeting will begin at 10:00 am PDT. The URL for the webcast can be found below.
